T. W. Dyott appears in the Philadelphia newspapers as early as 1807, running advertisements for patent water proofing (Brunswick Blacking) at his “medical warehouse”:

By April, Dyott is selling Sans Pareille Oleaginous Paste, a furniture polish.

By May, it’s Dr. Robertson’s Patent Stomachic Wine Bitters. Dyott notes in the ad that he is the grandson to Robertson.

By June, genuine bug-destroying water, with the King’s patent.
